A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT directing the Program evaluation Division to study ways to eliminate duplication of professional services in state agencies.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. The Joint Legislative Program Evaluation Oversight Committee shall include in the biennial work plan of the Program Evaluation Division an evaluation of duplicative professional services within State agencies. In particular, the evaluation shall examine duplicative legal services provided to State agencies by in‑house attorneys and attorneys located in the North Carolina Department of Justice.
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
