A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT allowing the legislative research commission to study the taxation of abandoned property at mobile home parks.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  The Legislative Research Commission (LRC) may study taxation of abandoned property at mobile home parks. Specifically, the LRC may review the means by which ownership is determined, the provisions of Chapter 105 of the General Statutes providing collection remedies for nonpayment of property taxes, and means to enhance those collection remedies as applied to delinquent taxes owed by owners of abandoned property in mobile home parks.

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
