SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 778

 

 

A JOINT RESOLUTION providing for the confirmation of the appointment of edward s. finley, jr., to the utilities commission.

 

Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 62‑10, appointments made by the Governor to membership on the North Carolina Utilities Commission are subject to confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and

Whereas, the term of Edward S. Finley, Jr., is expiring June 30, 2011; and

Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of Representatives and the Senate the appointment of Edward S. Finley, Jr., to serve a term commencing July 1, 2011, and expiring June 30, 2019, on the North Carolina Utilities Commission; Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

 

SECTION 1.  The appointment of Edward S. Finley, Jr., to the North Carolina Utilities Commission for a new term beginning July 1, 2011, and expiring June 30, 2019, is confirmed.

SECTION 2.  This resolution is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 14th day of June, 2011.
