METHODOLOGY:

This bill expands RSA 265:156, I, relative to operation of a funeral lead vehicle, by adding said vehicles comply with yield signs.  Under current law (RSA 265:31), there is a violation level penalty, with a $100 fine, for failure to yield. It is unknown how many, if any, such offenses might occur, therefore, it cannot be predicted if this bill could have an impact on the judicial and correctional systems, which could affect prosecution, incarceration, probation, and parole costs, for the state, as well as county and local governments. A summary of such costs can be found at: https://gencourt.state.nh.us/lba/Budget/Fiscal_Notes/JudicialCorrectionalCosts.pdf
