STATEMENT

This bill requires the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to provide a link on its website to access the directory of public and independent institutions of higher education located on the website of the Commission on Higher Education.  The link must be placed on the page of the department's website that lists the education benefits available to veterans.

Upon completion of their military service, many veterans desire to further their education by attending an institution of higher education.  In order to ensure that veterans are cognizant of the educational options available to them, it is imperative that the website of public and private institution of higher education is easily accessible through a link on the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs' website.
