Summary
: To establish in law, an advisory committee to the metropolitan transportation authority (MTA) that coordinates the efforts of the three existing councils allowing for greater coordination and cohesiveness between the three advisory committees already established in law. Specifically adds advice on the capital plans to the duties of the three councils. Also this bill will ensure the continued funding and independence of these councils and the presently existing PCAC.
Title
Establishes a permanent citizen's advisory committee to the metropolitan transportation authority to coordinate the activities of the New York city transit authority advisory council, the Long Island rail road commuter's council and the Metro-North rail commuter council.
