Summary

While current law mandates only the posting of refund policies, to safeguard consumers' rights, this bill requires stores to publicly post both their refund and return policies, including whether the frequency or volume of a buyer's returns are electronically tracked. It further secures an individual consumer's rights by requiring the entity responsible for tracking returns to forward to the buyer a statement of rejection which the buyer may use to contest such rejection.
