          tee on Transportation

        AN ACT in relation to authorizing a study pertaining to traffic flow and
          safety of State Route 35 and State Route 202 from the Hudson River  to
          the  border  of  Connecticut;  and  providing  for  the repeal of such
          provisions upon expiration thereof

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  The department of transportation is hereby authorized and
     2  directed to conduct a study pertaining to traffic  flow  and  safety  of
     3  State  Route  35 and State Route 202 from the Hudson River to the border
     4  of Connecticut. Such study shall include the bear mountain state parkway
     5  in Yorktown located in Westchester county.
     6    1. The department shall study  the  current  conditions  and  data  to
     7  ensure  the  safe and effective traffic flow of State Route 35 and State
     8  Route 202.
     9    2. The department of transportation shall report such findings to  the
    10  governor and the legislature within one year after the effective date of
    11  this act.
    12    §  2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire one year
    13  after it shall have become a law when upon such date the  provisions  of
    14  this act shall be deemed repealed.
