        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to licensing  examination
          requirements for licensed master social workers

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subdivision  1  of  section  7704  of  the
     2  education  law,  as added by chapter 420 of the laws of 2002, is amended
     3  to read as follows:
     4    (d) Examination: pass an examination satisfactory to the board and  in
     5  accordance  with  the commissioner's regulations; an applicant may apply
     6  to take  such  examination  once  commencing  their  final  semester  of
     7  instruction in accordance with paragraph (b) of this subdivision;
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
