       AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to elim-
         inating a permit fee for certain girl scouts and boy scouts of America
         activities
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Subdivision  7  of  section  70-0117 of the environmental
    2  conservation law, as amended by chapter 329 of  the  laws  of  1995,  is
    3  amended to read as follows:
    4    7.  Notwithstanding  any  other provision of law, the department shall
    5  not charge any application fee or any other fee for any activity  under-
    6  taken pursuant to an adopt-a-park, shoreline or roadway program pursuant
    7  to  section  two  hundred seventy-seven of the general municipal law, OR
    8  FOR ANY ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN BY THE BOY SCOUTS OR GIRL SCOUTS OF  AMERICA
    9  THAT IS COMPLETED FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING AN EAGLE SCOUT AWARD OR A
   10  GOLD AWARD.
   11    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
