PAULIN, JACOBSON, SAYEGH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments -- reported from committee, advanced to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place on the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the county law and the municipal home rule law, in relation to websites maintained by a county The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The county law is amended by adding a new section 55 to 2 read as follows: 3 § 55. County websites. Any county which maintains a website shall use 4 a ".gov" domain name for such website. 5 § 2. The municipal home rule law is amended by adding a new section 6 35-a to read as follows: 7 § 35-a. County websites. Any county operating under a county charter 8 as defined in section thirty-two of this part which maintains a website 9 shall use a ".gov" domain name for such website. 10 § 3.
