        COMMEMORATING  the  21st  Annual  Irish  Parade of
        Camden, New York on March 23, 2024

  WHEREAS, Saint Patrick's Day is a time for all to celebrate the rich
heritage of the Irish people, unlimited in their contributions  to  this
greatly diverse State and Nation; and

  WHEREAS,  A  Saint  Patrick's  Day  parade  reflects and records the
ongoing history of the  United  States  and  Ireland,  and  provides  an
opportunity  for  people  of all generations to assemble in ethnic pride
and pageantry; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing  traditions,  this  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to
commemorate the  21st  Annual  Irish  Parade  of  Camden,  New  York  on
Saturday, March 23, 2024; and

  WHEREAS,  Residents  of  this  great  State of New York travel great
lengths to watch and participate in this renowned parade,  demonstrating
an  impressive  commitment  to rejoice in a shared sense of identity and
celebration; and

  WHEREAS, The Grand Marshal of this year's  Irish  Parade  is  Debbie
Snyder,  an  Irish  resident  of  Camden,  who,  as  a  result  of  this
prestigious appointment, will have the honor of the leading the  parade;
this  year's  King  and  Queen  are  local Irish couple, Travis and Tina
Bliss; and

  WHEREAS, The parade features four bands:  the  Camden  Continentals,
the  Syracuse  Scottish  Pipe  Band, the Mohawk Valley Frasiers, and the
10th  Mountain  Division  Band  from  Fort  Drum;  several   area   fire
departments  will  also  bring out their emergency vehicles for children
and adults alike to marvel at throughout the parade; and

  WHEREAS, Through this heartfelt  and  compassionate  expression,  as
well  as  through their sustained commitment to the cultural vitality of
their Irish heritage, the Irish-American people of the Camden  area  and
the  State  of  New  York  bear  witness  to  the deep faith and love of
humanity which is their rich tradition; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
commemorate  the  21st  Annual Irish Parade of Camden, New York on March
23, 2024; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That copies of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted  to  Grand  Marshal,  Debbie  Snyder; Parade King and Queen,
Travis and Tina Bliss; and event spokesperson, Meaghan Hayes.
