SERINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommuni- cations AN ACT to amend the public service law, in relation to informational notices on utility bills The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 44 of the public service law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 6 to read as follows: 3 6. Where a customer is receiving energy services through a company 4 that is not an electric or natural gas utility corporation or a munici- 5 pality, the energy service company providing such services shall provide 6 written notification to the customer on an annual basis that such 7 customer is receiving services from an energy service company. 8 § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall 9 have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD06823-01-9
