          printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee  on  Trans-
          portation
        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to intermediate
          side  reflex  reflectors or intermediate side marker lamps on motorcy-
          cles
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 381 of the vehicle and traffic law
     2  is amended by adding a new paragraph (d) to read as follows:
     3    (d)  Every  motorcycle  may  have one or more intermediate side reflex
     4  reflectors or intermediate side marker lamps in any color except  white,
     5  red  or blue.  Intermediate side marker lamps shall not revolve, rotate,
     6  flash, oscillate, constantly move, or  be  designed  to  illuminate  the
     7  roadway around the motorcycle or otherwise be a distraction.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
     9  it shall have become a law.
