STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 4480 2019-2020 Regular Sessions IN SENATE March 13, 2019 ___________ Introduced by Sen. RANZENHOFER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Energy and Telecommu- nications AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to school energy efficiency collaboration programs The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivisions 1 and 2 of section 1882 of the public authori- 2 ties law, as added by chapter 403 of the laws of 2016, are amended to 3 read as follows: 4 1. The purpose of the school energy collaborative program shall be to 5 reduce redundancies, raise awareness and promote the efficient implemen- 6 tation of [public] school energy projects across New York state. 7 2. In developing this multidisciplinary collaborative program, the 8 authority shall work in partnership with the New York power 9 authority[,]; the Long Island power authority[,]; the state education 10 department, including the office of religious and independent schools; 11 the New York association of school business officials[,]; the New York 12 state school boards association[,]; energy service companies[,]; utility 13 programs and other school administrators. 14 § 2.
