       AN  ACT  to amend chapter 321 of the laws of 2011, amending the environ-
         mental conservation law relating to allowing the  use  of  rifles  for
         deer  hunting  in  the county of Chautauqua, in relation to making the
         provisions thereof permanent; and to amend the environmental conserva-
         tion law, in relation to making deer hunting in the county of Chautau-
         qua permanent
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1. Section 3 of chapter 321 of the laws of 2011, amending the
    2  environmental conservation law relating to allowing the  use  of  rifles
    3  for  deer  hunting  in  the  county of Chautauqua, is amended to read as
    4  follows:
    5    S 3.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided that[:
    6    a.] the amendments to item (i) of paragraph  a  of  subdivision  2  of
    7  section  11-0907  of  the environmental conservation law made by section
    8  one of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such
    9  paragraph pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as
   10  amended[,  when upon such date the provisions of section two of this act
   11  shall take effect;
   12    b. the amendments to item (i) of  paragraph  a  of  subdivision  2  of
   13  section  11-0907  of  the environmental conservation law made by section
   14  two of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such
   15  paragraph pursuant to section 17 of chapter 483 of the laws of 2010,  as
   16  amended;

    1    c.  nothing  contained  in this act shall be construed so as to extend
    2  the provisions of this act beyond January 1, 2014, when upon  such  date
    3  this  act  shall  expire  and  the  provisions contained herein shall be
    4  deemed repealed].
    5    S  2. Item (i) of paragraph (a) of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
    6  the environmental conservation law, as amended by  chapter  600  of  the
    7  laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
    8  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
    9    Allegany, Cattaraugus,  first Monday after      muzzle loading
   10    CHAUTAUQUA EXCEPT       November 15 through     firearm, rifle
   11    THAT PORTION OF THE     first Tuesday after     or long bow
   12    COUNTY NORTH OF         December 7              only
   13    ROUTE 20,
   14    Chenango, Herkimer,
   15    Montgomery, Oneida,
   16    Oswego, Otsego,
   17    Schoharie and Tioga
   18    and that portion
   19    of the county
   20    of Broome east of the
   21    Susquehanna river
   22    S  3.  This act shall take effect immediately; except that section two
   23  of this act shall take effect on the expiration of section 1 of  chapter
   24  321 of the laws of 2011.
