        Introduced  by  Sen.  HANNON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Health
        AN ACT to amend a chapter of the  laws  of  2017,  amending  the  social
          services  law  relating to fiscal intermediary certification under the
          consumer directed personal assistance program, as proposed in legisla-
          tive bills numbers S.2007-B and A.3007-B, in relation to the effective
          date of certain provisions thereof
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Section  7  of  part  E of a chapter of the laws of 2017,
     2  amending the social services law relating to fiscal intermediary certif-
     3  ication under the consumer  directed  personal  assistance  program,  as
     4  proposed  in legislative bills numbers S.2007-B and A.3007-B, is amended
     5  to read as follows:
     6    § 7. This act shall take effect immediately and  shall  be  deemed  to
     7  have  been  in  full force and effect on and after April 1, 2017; except
     8  that section one of this act shall take effect on the first  of  January
     9  after  it shall have become a law; provided that prior to that date, the
    10  commissioner of health shall make regulations  and  take  other  actions
    11  reasonably  necessary  to  implement subdivisions 4-a and 4-b of section
    12  365-f of the social services law, as added by section one of  this  act,
    13  on that date; and provided further that any entity operating as a fiscal
    14  intermediary  prior to this act becoming a law may continue to do so for
    15  one year after this act takes effect, and may continue to  do  so  after
    16  that time only upon obtaining authorization under this act.
    17    §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
    18  manner as part E of a chapter of the laws of 2017, amending  the  social
    19  services  law  relating  to  fiscal intermediary certification under the
    20  consumer directed personal assistance program, as proposed  in  legisla-
    21  tive bills numbers S.2007-B and A.3007-B, takes effect.
