        Introduced  by  Sen.  BROOKS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Veterans, Homeland Securi-
          ty and Military Affairs

        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the division
          of veterans' services  to  notify  the  appropriate  county  veterans'
          service agency upon the release of veterans from service

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 353 of the executive law is amended by adding a new
     2  subdivision 25 to read as follows:
     3    25. To notify the county veterans' service agency, established  pursu-
     4  ant  to section three hundred fifty-seven of this article, in the county
     5  where each veteran resides upon the release of each  such  veteran  from
     6  active  military  or  naval  service  of  the United States, or upon the
     7  furlough of each such veteran to the reserve.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
