To enact section 1109.051 of the Revised Code to 1
prohibit banks from imposing minimum balance 2
requirements or charges for providing check 3
cashing and bill processing services in connection 4
with a deposit account opened by a customer for 5
personal use.6


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:

       Section 1. That section 1109.051 of the Revised Code be 7
enacted to read as follows:8

       Sec. 1109.051. A bank shall not impose a minimum balance 9
requirement, monthly fee, or any other limitation or charge for 10
providing check cashing and bill processing services in connection 11
with any deposit account opened by a customer of the bank for 12
personal use on or after the effective date of this section.13
