A RESOLUTION

Honoring Tina Wyant as a 2013 Teacher of the Year.

       WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Tina Wyant on being named a 2013 Teacher of the Year by izzit.org; and

       WHEREAS,  Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Tina Wyant can be justly proud, for she has been acknowledged for her exceptional skill, commitment, and professionalism. Joining New Albany Middle School eleven years ago, she is a sixth-grade social studies teacher, and she has striven to channel the natural energy and curiosity of students into meaningful inquiry, thereby helping them to gain a better understanding of the world around them; and 

       WHEREAS,  Tina Wyant has made many significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our society, and by presenting lessons in an interesting and comprehensible manner, she has consistently inspired her students to excel. Indeed, her noteworthy record of achievement shows the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the community, and we applaud her on her fine work; and

       WHEREAS,  Throughout her career in the field of education, Tina Wyant has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped to nurture within them a desire for excellence. Her unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to students and teachers alike have earned her the respect and appreciation of everyone with whom she has been associated, and her work stands as the hallmark of concerned and responsible citizenship; therefore be it

       RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Tina Wyant as a 2013 Teacher of the Year and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

       RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Tina Wyant.
