AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, further providing for person with disability plate

3

and placard.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 1338(c) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

8

§ 1338.  Person with disability plate and placard.

(c)  Health care provider's statement.--

(1.1)  A statement certified by a physician, podiatrist,

13

chiropractor, physician assistant or certified registered

14

nurse practitioner should include a tear-off placard at the

15

bottom of the statement. The tear-off placard, upon signature

16

by the health care provider, may be used as a temporary

17

placard for persons with disabilities for no more than 30

days or until the applicant receives a special plate or

2

parking placard for persons with disabilities from the

3

department, whichever comes first. A person may not receive

4

more than two tear-off placards from a health care provider

5

per temporary disability.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
