AN ACT

 

1Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in registration of sexual
3offenders, providing for parole of offenders and sexually
4violent predators.

5The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6hereby enacts as follows:

7Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
8Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

9§ 9799.42. Parole of offenders and sexually violent predators.

10No offender or sexually violent predator shall be paroled
11from a State or county correctional institution until the
12offender has secured a residence and provides the address of the
13residence to the Pennsylvania State Police. If offenders and
14sexually violent predators are unable to secure a residence, the
15Department of Corrections and the Pennsylvania Board of
16Probation and Parole shall provide reasonable assistance in
17securing a residence.

18Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
