A RESOLUTION
Designating March 27, 2012, as "Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Day"
and commending the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau's more than
53,000 members for their contributions to this Commonwealth
and our agricultural industry.
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, formerly the
Pennsylvania Farmers' Association, was created on November 24,
1950, to provide farmers a means of joining together to secure a
bright future for agriculture and rural communities; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau plays a vital role in
the development and implementation of legislation and programs
that help build the economic strength of agriculture and
agribusiness in this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau works diligently to
foster understanding and support for agriculture among all

sectors of this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau has been and continues
to be a strong voice for agriculture at the national, State and
local levels; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate March
27, 2012, as "Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Day"; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend
congratulations and appreciation to the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau
members for their stewardship and productivity which is relied
upon daily by citizens of this Commonwealth; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to Joel
Rotz, State Governmental Relations Director, Pennsylvania Farm
Bureau, 510 South 31st Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
