AN ACT

Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the

Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for

sentences for second and subsequent offenses.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 9714(a) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

8

§ 9714.  Sentences for second and subsequent offenses.

(a)  Mandatory sentence.--

(3)  A person sentenced under this section shall not be

eligible to serve any portion of his sentence at a prisoner

13

prerelease center.

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
