To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H. 4820) to request the Department of Transportation name the portion of Union Boulevard from its intersection with South Carolina Highway 49 to its intersection with the Duncan Bypass and continuing along Industrial Park Road, etc., respectfully
That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF UNION BOULEVARD FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 49 TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE DUNCAN BYPASS AND CONTINUING ALONG INDUSTRIAL PARK ROAD FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE DUNCAN BYPASS TO SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 49 IN UNION COUNTY "REVEREND MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MEMORIAL HIGHWAY" IN HONOR OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., AND ERECT APPROPRIATE SIGNS OR MARKERS ALONG THIS PORTION OF HIGHWAY CONTAINING THESE WORDS.
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina request the Department of Transportation name the portion of Union Boulevard from its intersection with South Carolina Highway 49 to its intersection with the Duncan Bypass and continuing along Industrial Park Road from its intersection with the Duncan Bypass to South Carolina Highway 49 "Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Highway" in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and erect appropriate signs or markers along this portion of highway containing these words.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Department of Transportation.
