| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 212, Local Government | ||
| Code, is amended by adding Section 212.0102 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 212.0102. STANDARDS FOR PRIVATE ROAD OR STREET IN | ||
| SUBDIVISION. A municipality may not impose a higher standard for a | ||
| private road or street in a subdivision than the municipality | ||
| imposes on itself for the construction of roads or streets of a | ||
| similar type and with a similar amount of traffic. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
