| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 31, Election Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 31.0015 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 31.0015. PROHIBITION OF WAIVER. Except as provided by | ||
| a provision of this code, the secretary of state may not waive or | ||
| suspend the application of a provision of this code or a rule | ||
| adopted under this code. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
