A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
 
  relating to the expiration and extension of certain provisions
  relating to engaging outside council for Federal Energy Regulatory
  Commission matters.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 39.408(g), Utilities Code, is amended to
  read as follows:
         (g)  This section expires September 1, 2031 [2023].
         SECTION 2.  Section 39.4525(g), Utilities Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (g)  This section expires September 1, 2031 [2023].
         SECTION 3.  Section 39.504(g), Utilities Code, is amended to
  read as follows:
         (g)  This section expires September 1, 2031 [2023].
         SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
