R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The second annual N'gee BBQ Cookoff hosted by
  Normangee FFA Alumni & Supporters is taking place on March 22 and
  23, 2024; and
         WHEREAS, Sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers
  Association, this much-anticipated event attracts talented chefs
  from across the state; these highly skilled pitmasters are putting
  their culinary abilities to the test as they vie to produce the
  tastiest entries in several different categories; and
         WHEREAS, The competition raises funds to benefit Normangee
  FFA, a high school program with the goal of developing the next
  generation of agricultural leaders; and
         WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the
  N'gee BBQ Cookoff is sure to offer everyone in attendance the chance
  to enjoy good food and good times while supporting a worthwhile
  cause; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the 2024 N'gee
  BBQ Cookoff and extend to the organizers, participants, and
  attendees sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event.
