R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, In recognition of its exemplary financial
  transparency online, the Lorena Independent School District has
  received the 2011 Gold Leadership Circle Award from the Office of
  the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts; and
         WHEREAS, Since December 2009, the Texas Comptroller
  Leadership Circle program has been honoring governmental
  organizations throughout the state that are striving to meet a high
  standard for financial transparency online; and
         WHEREAS, Lorena ISD garnered 19 out of a possible 20 points
  and was commended for providing a clear, consistent picture of
  spending and sharing information in a user-friendly format; and
         WHEREAS, Keeping taxpayers informed about how public monies
  are spent helps to maintain a high level of trust between citizens
  and their government, and Lorena ISD truly merits praise for its
  efforts in that regard; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Lorena Independent School
  District on its receipt of a 2011 Gold Leadership Circle Award and
  extend to all those associated with the district's online project
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Lorena ISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
