| WHEREAS, Julian Jones of Early College High School has been | ||
| named the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock | ||
| Independent School District; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to | ||
| become successful and productive adults, and those men and women | ||
| who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference | ||
| in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Jones has been an educator for nine years, and | ||
| he currently teaches world geography at Early College High School, | ||
| where he uses a project-based approach to encourage students to | ||
| create meaningful work while developing skills that will prepare | ||
| them for professional life; in addition, he provides class members | ||
| with opportunities to explore career paths related to the course | ||
| material; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Julian Jones exemplifies the passion, | ||
| determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our | ||
| best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all | ||
| in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Jones on his selection as | ||
| the 2024 Secondary Teacher of the Year in the Round Rock Independent | ||
| School District and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success with his important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
