| WHEREAS, Easton Clarkson of Abernathy High School achieved | ||
| great distinction by participating in the 2019 University | ||
| Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in | ||
| Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, | ||
| Mr. Clarkson competed in the 3A 200-meter dash and finished in | ||
| ninth place; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete as one of the elite | ||
| track and field athletes in the Lone Star State, Easton Clarkson has | ||
| ably represented his school, and he may indeed reflect with pride on | ||
| his notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Easton Clarkson on participating | ||
| in the 3A 200-meter dash at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and | ||
| extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Clarkson as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
