| WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is a celebration of | ||
| love that has stood the test of time, and five decades after that | ||
| special day in 1961, Wilburn and Doris Schuette of McGregor | ||
| continue to bring out the best in one another and to inspire all who | ||
| share in the richness of their lives; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Schuette were united in matrimony on | ||
| March 18, 1961, at a ceremony held at Zion Lutheran Church in | ||
| McGregor; through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling | ||
| marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of two | ||
| daughters and their husbands, Laurie and David and Audry and | ||
| Darrell, as well as four grandchildren, Leslie and her husband, | ||
| John, Cody and his wife, Emily, Landon, and Shanna; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Both now retired, Mr. Schuette worked for Smead | ||
| Manufacturing and Mrs. Schuette was employed with the First | ||
| National Bank of McGregor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past | ||
| half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant | ||
| in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love | ||
| has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with | ||
| grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Wilburn and Doris Schuette on their | ||
| 50th anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schuette as an expression of high regard | ||
| by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
