R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Longtime Golden Triangle resident Frances Helen
  Russell of Brookeland passed away on May 1, 2013, at the age of 82;
  and
         WHEREAS, A Port Arthur native, Mrs. Russell graduated from
  Crozier Tech High School in Dallas in 1948 and went on to obtain her
  nursing education from Lamar University; she subsequently embarked
  on a career as an operating room nurse at Christus Hospital-St.
  Elizabeth in Beaumont, where she worked for many years; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Russell shared a rewarding marriage with her
  husband, Ellis Russell, and she was the devoted mother of two
  children, Marilyn and Jim; over time, her family grew to include 10
  grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, in whom she took great
  pride; and
         WHEREAS, Known for her fun-loving personality, Frances
  Russell touched the lives of countless people, and those she leaves
  behind will cherish their memories of this kind and caring woman;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Frances Helen Russell
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  husband, Ellis Russell; to her daughter, Marilyn Matlock; to her
  son, Jim Russell; to her sister, Marilyn Weeks; to her
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Frances
  Helen Russell.
