R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Ja'Naria Jackson of Terrell High School achieved
  great distinction by winning two gold medals at the 2022 University
  Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in
  Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Jackson
  turned in an exceptional performance, claiming the state title in
  the 4A 100 and 200-meter races; in the 100 meters, she clocked in at
  11.74 seconds, and in the 200 meters, she crossed the line in 23.69
  seconds; and
         WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
  high school track and field athletes, this talented young Texan has
  ably represented her school and community, and she will cherish her
  memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ja'Naria Jackson on winning two
  gold medals at the 2022 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to
  her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
