| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Blanche Nedd, who retired January 31, 2013, after 34 | ||
| years of outstanding service with the United States Postal | ||
| Service; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Blanche began her postal career on June 30, 1979, | ||
| as a clerk in the Computerized Forwarding System department at | ||
| the main post office in Dallas; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, she became known | ||
| for her expertise in the field of customer service; she was a | ||
| member of the city's original Zip Plus Four team and earned | ||
| numerous awards and commendations for her exemplary work; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Dedicated and capable, she handled her many | ||
| duties with remarkable efficiency and professionalism; her | ||
| commitment to her job and to the postal service served as an | ||
| example to all those with whom she worked; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she earned the esteem of | ||
| her colleagues, and her presence at the United States Postal | ||
| Service will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
| 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Blanche | ||
| Nedd on her exceptional service as an employee of the United | ||
| States Postal Service and extend to her best wishes for continued | ||
| success in all her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
