SENATE RESOLUTION
         BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th
  Legislature, 2019, That Senate Rule 12.03 be suspended in part as
  provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the conference committee
  appointed to resolve the differences on Senate Bill 2342 (the
  jurisdiction of, and practices and procedures in civil cases
  before, justice courts, county courts, statutory county courts,
  and district courts) to consider and take action on the following
  matters:
         (1)  Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the
  committee to amend text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION
  35 of the bill, in a transition provision of the bill, to read as
  follows:
         SECTION 35.  Not later than January 1, 2021, the Supreme
  Court of Texas shall adopt rules as necessary to implement
  Section 22.004(h-1), Government Code, as added by this Act.
         Explanation: The change is necessary to provide the
  Supreme Court of Texas additional time to adopt rules as
  necessary to implement certain provisions added by the Act.
         (2)  Senate Rule 12.03(1) is suspended to permit the
  committee to amend text not in disagreement in proposed SECTION
  37 of the bill, in the effective date provision of the bill, to
  read as follows:
         SECTION 37.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2020.
         Explanation: The change is necessary to delay by one year
  the effective date of the Act.
