Summary

Requires the Environmental Protection Agency to establish a program to award grants for projects that (1) replace an existing diesel-powered transport refrigeration unit in a heavy-duty vehicle with an electric unit; (2) purchase and install shore power infrastructure (infrastructure that provides power to the vehicle when it is stationary) or other equipment that enables transport refrigeration units to connect to electric power at places where heavy-duty vehicles congregate; or (3) operate and maintain vehicles, infrastructure, or equipment relating to electric transport refrigeration units and associated shore power.
