Summary

Funeral services; sale of caskets. Prohibits any person except a licensed funeral service establishment or funeral service licensee from offering for sale or selling a casket when preneed arrangements for funeral services are being made, including preneed funeral contracts and preneed funeral planning. The bill provides that the requirement that a funeral service licensee accept a casket provided by a third party applies only in cases in which funeral arrangements are made at-need. This bill is identical to SB 1247.
