Summary

Texting while driving; injury to another or damage to property. Provides that any person who, while "texting" and driving, causes an accident in which a person is killed or injured or in which an attended vehicle or other attended property is damaged is guilty of reckless driving. The bill also provides that a violation of this provision shall not preclude prosecution under any other applicable provision of the criminal law.
