Summary

Notice to patients of risk of cobalt poisoning. Requires the Board of Medicine to adopt regulations requiring health care providers who perform joint replacement surgery to inform patients on whom such surgery shall be performed of the risk of cobalt poisoning associated with joint replacement, the symptoms of cobalt poisoning, and the steps such patients should take if they begin to experience symptoms of cobalt poisoning.
