Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 3 of Chapter 26 of Title 8.01 a section numbered 8.01-673.1 and by adding in Chapter 26.1 of Title 8.01 a section numbered 8.01-675.5 as follows:

§8.01-673.1. Filing of an appendix in appeal to the Supreme Court.

In connection with appeals to the Supreme Court of Virginia, any statutory requirement, or requirement within the Rules of Supreme Court of Virginia, for the filing of an appendix shall be satisfied if such is filed in the form of a CD-ROM or some other digital or electronic format approved under the Rules of Supreme Court of Virginia.

§8.01-675.5. Filing of an appendix in appeal to the Court of Appeals.

In connection with appeals to the Court of Appeals of Virginia, any statutory requirement, or requirement within the Rules of Supreme Court of Virginia, for the filing of an appendix shall be satisfied if such is filed in the form of a CD-ROM or some other digital or electronic format approved under the Rules of Supreme Court of Virginia.
