HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 545 Offered August 17, 2015 Prefiled August 16, 2015 Celebrating the life of Kimberly Beth Bailey Fern. ---------- Patron-- Pillion (By Request) ----------

WHEREAS, Kimberly Beth Bailey Fern, a beloved wife, mother, and member of the Abingdon community, died on June 28, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Kimberly "Kim" Fern married her high school sweetheart, Jim, in 1984, and she was a loving and devoted mother to their two daughters, Whitney and Bailey; and

WHEREAS, Kim Fern helped enhance the quality of life of older members of the community as senior intellectual disability support coordinator at Highlands Community Services for 24 years; and

WHEREAS, Kim Fern enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church; and

WHEREAS, Kim Fern will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband of 31 years, Jim; daughters, Whitney and Bailey; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Kimberly Beth Bailey Fern; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Kimberly Beth Bailey Fern as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
