SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 64 Offered January 23, 2024 Confirming appointments by the Governor of agency heads communicated to the General Assembly January 15 and 16, 2024, and reconfirming the appointment of the Director of Department of Wildlife Resources. ---------- Patron-- Rouse ---------- Referred to Committee on Privileges and Elections ----------

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly confirm the following appointments of certain persons made by Governor Glenn Youngkin and communicated to the General Assembly January 15 and 16, 2024.

Linda Jackson of Chesterfield County, Virginia, Director, Department of Forensic Science, appointed January 15, 2024, for a term of six years beginning December 26, 2023, and ending December 25, 2029, to succeed herself.

Brigadier General James W. Ring of Midlothian, Virginia, Adjutant General, Virginia Department of Military Affairs, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning June 3, 2023, to succeed Major General Timothy Williams.

Charles Zingler of Burke, Virginia, Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Services, to serve at the pleasure of the Governor beginning January 8, 2024, to succeed Daniel Gade.

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the General Assembly reconfirm the following appointment by the Board of Wildlife Resources pursuant to §§ 29.1-103 and 29.1-109 of the Code of Virginia:

Ryan Brown of Goochland, Virginia, Director of the Department of Wildlife Resources effective July 8, 2019.
