Summary

The purpose of this bill is to remove the eligibility for parole based on a record of good conduct for a period of at least three months immediately preceding the date of an inmate’s release on parole. The bill also removes the section that provides that an inmate serving a sentence on a felony conviction who becomes eligible for parole consideration prior to being transferred to a correctional institution may make written application for parole.
