Summary

The purpose of this bill is to provide mental health treatment alternatives to involuntary commitment; allow a court to convert an involuntary hospitalization application into a petition for a temporary compliance order; eliminate the sunset provision; modify the requirements and process necessary to enter a treatment compliance order; clarify that persons who use the modified procedures of this section are not subject to reporting to certain databases; and create a new database for compilation of certain persons to be used by the circuit courts.
