Summary

The purpose of this bill is to make the interlock program available to first time offenders while also increasing incentives for participation in the program; increased periods on the interlock program for aggravating circumstances involving a second or subsequent DUI offense; reducing the administrative penalties for driving with a suspended license; permitting administrative hearing decisions to be based on the arresting officer's affidavit; and requiring a mandatory blood alcohol content test for all drivers involved in a motor vehicle crash resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
