A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §16-5Q-5, relating to sunset of the James “Tiger” Morton Catastrophic Illness Commission.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
ARTICLE 5Q. THE JAMES “TIGER” MORTON CATASTROPHIC ILLNESS FUND.
§16-5Q-5. Sunset provision; effective date.
The James “Tiger” Morton Catastrophic Illness Commission established in this article shall terminate on June 30, 2023, unless continued by the Legislature. Pursuant to the provisions in §4-10-12 and §4-10-13 of this code, the commission shall commence all necessary wind-up activities. This section shall become effective July 1, 2022.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to sunset the James “Tiger” Morton Catastrophic Illness Commission.
