AN ACT

 

amending title 32, chapter 20, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 11; making an appropriation; relating to the housing incentive program

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 32, chapter 20, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 11, to read:

ARTICLE 11.  HOUSING INCENTIVE PROGRAM

START_STATUTE32-2199.  Housing incentive program

The department shall establish and implement a housing incentive program to pay monies to a person who moves to this state from another jurisdiction and who purchases an owner‑occupied home.  If the real property is a resale home at the time of purchase, the department shall pay the person two thousand dollars.  If the home is a new construction home at the time of purchase, the department shall pay the person one thousand dollars. The program established by this article ends on July 1, 2021 pursuant to section 41‑3102.END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Appropriation; housing incentive program

The sum of $_______________________ is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2011-2012 to the state real estate department for the implementation of title 32, chapter 20, article 11, Arizona Revised Statutes, as added by this act.
