Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 36, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-407.04, to read:

START_STATUTE36-407.04. Long-term care facilities; chaplain program; definition

A. Each long-term care facility shall establish a chaplain program for either a volunteer chaplain or a chaplain who requires a monthly stipend.  The chaplain program shall provide a chaplain on-site at the long-term care facility at least two times per week.

B. For the purposes of this section, "long-term care facility" means a nursing care institution, an assisted living facility and an assisted living home. END_STATUTE
